When a hotel defines itself as an intimate sanctuary of style and history, every detail must reflect this promise. Hotel Estherea, a luxury boutique hotel in the heart of Amsterdam, sought to enhance their guest experience with tableware that was not only functional but also enriched the visual and cultural narrative of their spaces. Our partnership to create a bespoke range of tableware exemplifies what happens when thoughtful design meets craftsmanship, resulting in pieces that delighted both the hotel and its discerning guests.
Our range for Hotel Estherea was to include an array of unique items designed to enrich every dining setting. Among the highlights were exquisite 3-tier cake plates, perfect for showcasing an assortment of pastries and treats during afternoon tea. We also crafted charming tea-for-one sets, each comprising a teapot stacked elegantly atop a matching cup, creating a sense of personal indulgence for solo tea moments.
The collection featured delicately balanced teacups and saucers, allowing guests to savour their favourite blends in style, as well as generously sized mugs ideal for enjoying coffee or hot chocolate in the bar area or guest lounges. Each item was adorned with the signature colourful orchids and hummingbirds, and finished with lustrous metallic accents to create a cohesive yet vibrant look across the range.
Located in the historic centre of Amsterdam, Hotel Estherea is more than just a place to stay — it is an immersive experience. Situated along the UNESCO-listed Singel Canal, the hotel’s 17th-century building is steeped in heritage, history, and Dutch charm. Inside, the hotel feels like an inviting salon, filled with opulent velvets, floral motifs, rich wood panelling, and sparkling chandeliers.
Guests are treated to a vision of uniquely styled rooms and communal spaces that blend vintage European luxury with modern flair. Hotel Estherea’s boutique aesthetic stands out in every corner, offering an intimate and memorable stay that eschews the predictability of larger chain hotels.
Our tableware had to live up to this distinctive setting — becoming an extension of the hotel’s visual identity, from their picturesque breakfast lounges to their cosy, candlelit bar areas.
